Camp “Pineta” – Fazana
Fažana is a tourist center and harbor not far from the ancient city of Pula with about 3 000 inhabitants. The village lies on the western coast of Istria, protected from unfavourable winds through the protected Briuni Islands. The beautiful beaches of the place are popular with families with children and visitors of the holiday like a Mediterranaen flair in a small town surrounded by orchards and vineyards. In written offices for the first time Fažana is mentioned in the middle of the XII. Century as a witness of long history of this setllement (now the town Fažana) are various relics of ancient villas and estates. To Roman times Fažana was the center of the ceramic trade. The development of Fažana is tied to the trends noted in Briuni Islands and the town of Pula, whose ancient amphitheatre for years is the center of cultural and tourist events.
Property
Nearby the sea, in view of the bay and the Fažana Briuni Islands – one of numerous Croatian national park – Camp Pineta is located. The camp is only two kilometers away from Fažana and eight kilometers from the town of Pula, where also an airfield is.
Accommodation
The camp with 600 housing units is equipped with bathrooms (shower, toilet) and can receive 1800 people. The culinary offerings of the restaurant is based on fish and meat specialities. In the pleasant shade of the terrace „ a la carte „ specialities are offered as well as the traditional grilled fish evenings on fridays at a acceptable price. In the evening hours for dinner guests can relax with music and dance. The beach located at the fast food restaurant offers light meals and various soft drinks.
Contents
Besides the sea and sun of the rental of beach equipment and treadle offered and the use of a trampoline and jet-ski. The guests can take tours by bike and pursue various sporting activities such as beach volleyball, football, basketball, balls, mini golf and tennis. From Fažana also are offered various trips to the National Park Briuni which include beautiful flora and Safari zoo.
